BTW, most if not all phone companies provide a servce that freezes your long distance and phone providers, that is, no one can SLAM you without you signing off on it first. I checked and my local phone comapny also has this service, but I am hesitant to implement it (sleeping dogs lie) or even wonder if I can as a Vonage customer or if tis would need to be done via Vonage.

Their web site says:
