As I would be traveling for two weeks, I revised my voicemail greeting to indicate this and set forward to voicemail to enable "immediate". I also powered off all of my home equipment, including the DSL modem, router and ATA.

Returning home, I have zero new voicemail messages. After two weeks? Highly unlikely. The nice man at Vonage customer support said that voicemail does not work with the ATA powered off. This does not make sense to me. Can this be right?

I do have "received calls" in the activity history for those weeks. Also, there are a number of short calls in the "placed calls" section during the time all equipment was shut off. The "placed calls" are all from phone numbers other than mine. Odd!
