Thanks for the info but my brain can't get around it.

Also, there is no setup cd for the wap54g or and "setup file" on their site.

I don't know if you caught it also but I can't get to the linksys site (192.168.1.245) on my main PC either.

Oh well - I'll just live with an unsecured connection for brief episodes.
Is there a software solution for an unsecured connection like this? I know I have the windows firewall - avg free etc.....is there anything I can do with a software program that is just as good as a "secured wep connection"?
