Vonage Anyone out there signed up or inquired about the special one day promotion on January

Anyone out there signed up or inquired about the special one day promotion on January 5, 2006 at the CES show in Las Vegas? If so, what is your understanding of the term of that special promotion?

When I signed up, I was informed that for that day only, they are giving a free Voip equipment of my choice if I sign up $25/month unlimited service with free first month service. I was also told that the Voip equipment is mine to keep even if I cancel the service within 30 days, and that the activation fee will be refunded even if I keep the Voip equipment.

I've canceled the service because I could not get a dial tone, and they could not replace my nonfunctioning Voip device (Motorola VT2442). I'm trying to get my activation fee, but no one at Vonage's customer service seems to know anything about that promotion.

When I canceled the service, I was told that the activation fee will be refunded within 24hours to my credit card. Of course that didn't happen. I'm trying to see if anyone actually signed up or canceled the service afterwards and the result.
