The NIU outside has 2 sections. 1 for the user to access, 1 for the phone company.
Inside of the NIU that you can access should be, depending on the AGE of the NIU, you'll see standard phone ports AND bare ended wires screwed down.
The bare ended wires are your internal phone wires! Those are the wires running through your house, and from what it sounds like, terminating at a jack each. Take each of those wire pairs, and I'm going to assume you have 3 (total of 6 individual wires in 3 pairs) running in there if you had 3 standard phone jack connectors.
If those wires are all the same colors, connect those colors together. Example: green wire, bunched with green wire. Orange with orange, etc. [colors vary] Tape THOSE bunches together, but ONLY the same color. Do not tape the green bunch to the orange bunch.
What you've effectively just done is completed circuits throughout your house now. When you plug in the Vonage adapter to one of the ports in the house, then all of other ports should come alive too.
