I have my Vonage line hooked up to a splitter, one end goes into a telephone and the other end goes into a jack in the wall so my Vonage line works all through my house on my home wiring (if you do that just make sure your home wiring is disconnected from the telco first, or you'll burn out your adapter!!!!)
In general, you can attach 4-5 phones to any of the Vonage adapters without problems. Look in the manual for a number labeled "REN". This stands for "Ringer Equivalent Number" and will tell you the amount of power the adapter is capable of. Typically, this is around 4.0 or 5.0.
Then look at each of your phones and find the REN marked on each phone. The total of all of the RENs for all of your phones should be less than the rated REN of your adapter. Most modern phones take less than 0.5 REN, so you can put quite a few phones on a Vonage adapter if you choose to.
