After submitting that last post, I went to recheck the 4 whozeewhat lines of numbers under the interfaces in the Registry Editor and had not changed one of the values to a 0. When I did, I then rebooted and while I didn't get a full internet connection, I did get one of the two steps to having an internet connection resolved. In other words, I did have access to the network but still didn't have access to the internet. Subsequently, the only repair step I had to do was to reset my LAN, instead of renewing my IP and THEN resetting my LAN adapter.
So.
Keep going. I can almost taste it! Victory is mine!
Also, since Option C seemed to work, should I undo what I did in Option B and A or are these steps to be built upon each other?
