A friend brought his laptop over the other night and while he was surfing around I noticed my call quality was garbled. I said are you downloading a huge file? and he said "Well I am in the bathroom right now and not at my PC." I didn't need to know the bathroom part. He had tons of adware and viruses on his pc.

If you find your call is "Garbled" or doesn't quite sound right try downloading a spyware removal tool. There can be garbled calls on low bandwidth connections.

*WHY*: Because adware uses the TCP/IP protocol to continually send back information across your connection it gets precedence over the UDP packets being sent by your Voip connection and can effectively "slow or muddle" them up. Since adware works without you knowing it, it is almost the equivilant of downloading or uploading while your talking.

Give it a go, you may get a better connection even if you have a good one already.

Just wondering if people are having this issue and whether Vonage should let people know about this.
