You can try switching your WRT54G to one of the "outer" channels (1 or 11), in the hope that it will get the router on a frequency that your cordless phones are not using, or you can replace your cordless phones with 900Mhz or 5.8GHz models.

Not everyone has interference problems. I run a 2.4GHz phone base a few feet from my WRT54G (using channel 11) and I've never had the slightest bit of problems. On the other hand, I live out in the woods, in a metal-sided house that makes quite an effective Faraday cage. ;) So interference from other people's gear is not much of a problem for me.
