1. Your location - Milford area, Pennsylvania
2. Your ISP name and type - ProLog cable (Blue Ridge Communications-only place that offers it to our area at this time)
3. Upload and download speeds - 2787, 241
4. Modem make and model - Linksys Broadband Router Model #RTP300 (mailed to me by Vonage 1 month ago)
5. Type of Vonage adapter used ie RT31P2 or PAP2 - Adaptor Model #AD121C (mailed to me by Vonage 1 month ago)
6. Setup of Network ie Modem->Vonage Adapter->PC (setup is the same as described for Linksys RT31P2 Phone Adapter at http://www.vonage-forum.com/setup.html and how it was explained to set up from box)
7. Issue you are experiencing - Our internet connect either works or it doesn't. There are times when it runs well and I am able to take speed tests. Other times I can't load a page at all. The connection always states that it is connected. My telephone will work fine and then other times (the same time as the internet) it is very hard to hear, choppy, bad connections. I called the cable company, they said the problem was that the dpc2100 cable modem was being routed through the linksys router and it was slowing the computer internet down. he then said he installed drivers from the webstar cd, plugged a usb into the cable modem and then into the computer. he said this way the cable modem would no longer run through the linksys router and everything would work better. well, the computer then would not connect to the internet at all. he said he couldn't help me further, put everything back the way it was and said goodbye. I've called them back (asking for someone else to come) and they should be coming today. I am going to have the person physically check what was installed downstairs just in case the installer was actually as helpful as the first repair person. If the internet is working the phone works fine, if the internet isn't the phone doesn't. There is only a very small change when I completely disconnect the Vonage and that change only happens when the internet is actually running, it seems to be a little slower. Not that much, it all acts just about the same with or with out Vonage. To me this problem seems to come from the cable provider and the cable actually coming into the house or how it is split in the house but could it be Vonage? Can I do something with my Vonage set up to help? Thank you.

8. DETAILED results from www.testyourvoip.com with a test call to Boston.

*****Please note: I had to wait until today to run this test because last night my internet connection was so bad I couldn't load the page. Today the internet is running, for now, of course because they are coming...****
