My problem is that I can lose dial tone at anytime. Sometimes I'll go 2 days without losing dialtone. Other times I lose dialtone 2-3 times per day. My VT2442 lost dialtone sometime last night once again. This caused me to miss 2 very important calls this morning. I am getting sick and tired of this problem. When this happens I still have internet but no dialtone. A reset of the VT2442 fixes the problem.
I refuse to call India again since they are absolutely no help. And I'm not calling New Jersey to wait on hold for an hour unless I am canceling my service.
Can anyone explain to me why I can not keep a dialtone? Is there a setting in the VT2442 that I may have missed that might help to keep my dialtone? I have DHCP setup. PPOE will not work with my DSL connection. I am at my wits end and my roomate has told me that he is through with Vonage. It's just not reliable. If no one can help me then my next call to Vonage will be to disconnect.
I know this is not a Vonage forum and that's why I am asking here. Vonage support is terrible. Sorry if I sound rude but I am frustrated as he$$.
