Router - Linksys WRT54G v8.00.8.

5. Vonage adapter
VDV21-V

6. Setup of Network
(Pre-Vonage)
Wall->Modem->Linksys->(PC, Xbox, Laptop)
(worked fine)

Post Vonage
Wall->Modem->Vonage->Linksys->(PC, Xbox, Laptop)

7. Issue
In the above configuration, can't use the internet on the PC, Xbox, or Laptop.

I apologize if this the hojillionth thread like this, but I tried following the others and not only did they have a slightly different problem than me, but also when I tried a couple things suggested in other threads they didn't work.

I have tried - putting the Router before the Vonage: couldn't make calls or use the internet.

Changing the DHCP Lan IP Address - I can't find where to do this in my Router (WRT54G).

Updating with a couple 3rd party firmware files-Neither would even update.

The only reason I made this thread is,

A) There is the good possibility that I didn't do these things right.

B) When I've messed with my router in the past I screwed it up and the instructions are always vague.

C) On the Linksys configuration thing (the one where you logon to your router at 192.168.1.1), the instructions and what I see are often different.

I wouldn't mind not using the router, but sometimes we want to use both the Xbox and PC at the same time, and of course I can't ever get wireless on my laptop.

Does anyone else have this configuration that could give me some tips?

Perhaps under Advanced Routing I could change it from Gateway mode to Router mode? But then I have no idea what to put for the numbers, or how to find out.
