OK. I don't know if I posted all that correctly, but here's my prob:

My Linksys router continuously disconnects from the internet. Vonage tech support tells me it's a problem with Comcast, but it seems to clearly be a problem with the router. Maybe I'm wrong, but when I unplug the Linksys POS from power for 20secs and then plug it back in, it seems to work fine for awhile (sometimes a week, sometimes 1/2 a day). I'm sick of doing this, and I don't know my connection is down until I either attempt to connect to the internet or try to make a phone call. I used to have a Scientific Atlanta Cable Modem, and the problem was the same, so I've eliminated that as the cause.

Question is, how hard is it to get a newer router from Vonage? Should I just give up and buy one at Best Buy or something for $60? It's still a Linksys (pap2?), so will it have the same annoying problems?

Thanks for any input! It seems my incident is not an isolated one, but I seem to be getting different reports about fixes. Help!

Yah. I thought of that same thing and did it. It didn't make a difference.
